 Effective, Enlightening and Fun!
Michelle Miller Allen, New Mexico author and artisan/designer, has recently launched her new series of creativity workshops. These workshops are of benefit to anyone in the arts, and any individual who wishes to find a few new tools to open the heart and mind to the Creative Spirit which is just a breath away!
Miller Allen will guide an intimate group through a day of various techniques to liberate the inner creative spirit. The "A Bear Named Hope" method will help you reroute your pathways directly into the deep inner cave which is not — as you may think — filled with wounds to limit your movement, but which is in fact a light-filled place in which your treasures are hoarded.
Miller Allen holds a Masters degree in Theatre from University of New Mexico, has co-edited two anthologies, is an award-winning playwright and novelist and president of Green Phoenix Productions, a New Age production/distribution company.
"What qualifies me to assist others in liberating the Creative Spirit within is simply — and not so simply — this:
My life’s work comes from my own inner intuitive resources. . .
from the lesson I learned through my late husband’s death process — to counteract the negative forces by letting Creativity flow through us, no matter what our circumstance . . .
from creativity training I have received as a writer & thespian . . .
from work I have done with channelers and Native American Medicine Men . . .
and from my own experiences in holding to my integrity as a creative person in a world of nay-sayers.
By using ‘the Bear’, my late husband was able to move through his cancer as he crossed over, finally, in a positive and life-affirming manner. He has left the world a legacy of Hope and his spirit continues to guide me to do this work, which holds much value for those at the peak of their vibrancy, and those who are faltering and needing creative renewal in their life."
The atmosphere for "The Bear" workshops is informal and involves personal story-telling, creative exercises, and participation in a Medicine Wheel which has evolved from Native American teachings, Jungian and gestalt principles.
Because of the time involved in working with the Wheel, and depending on the size of the group, a limited number of individuals who wish to "walk" their creativity problems through the Wheel will be given the opportunity. Everyone who attends will take an active role in the Wheel, and, given the nature of that process, all participants will come away transformed, whether their role was "in" or "on" the Wheel.
