The Inconstant Bard Collection

[R-1] The Birds
The first card in our Inconstant Bard collection is based on a piece of verse from Aristophanes "The Birds" 414 B.C.E. This was a verse which was one of Rick's favorites, and he often recited it at unexpected moments. "Black winged night/ into the bosom of Erebus dark and deep/ laid a wind-born egg,/ and as the seasons rolled,/ forth sprang Love, the longed for,/ shining, with wings of gold." [R-2] She
When Michelle's mother died in 1996, Rick presented her father with a calligraphy of his poem "She". Michelle's Catholic mother and father had/have a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin. Not knowing any of this, ShaRi chose to work with this poem and, when she showed Michelle what she had done, she was quite amazed and felt Rick’s hand in it. "O Kindler of Stars, thy Radiant brow/ Bespoke of Love’s undying flame/ And in my heart ‘tis still so now/ For love to me is yet the same."

[R-3] Blodeuwedd
This card quotes Rick’s poem "Blodeuwedd", also from his Inconstant Bard CD. "So does the joy in my Soul shine as bright, When touched by the love of the Lady of Light."

[R-4] The Green Man
This is a card which will probably be most appreciated by Rick’s family and friends. It quotes his poem "The Green Man" which is on his Inconstant Bard CD. "Please the Poet to Perceive the Undulating Dark Unknown". It bears Rick’s trademark for his hypnotherapy practice (The Inner Journey); and features a 1996 photae taken of The Trickster by his sister Rita Bates in Ireland. In the photae he is in a centuries-old giant tree, teasing "It’s all mine, I’m the King of Ireland!" See special price packages below.

[R-5] The Other
The definitive Valentine's message. On Valentine’s Day 2003 Michelle found the late Rick Allen’s poem "The Other" (1993), which she had never seen before, in one of his notebooks – she felt compelled to go into his office and discovered it there. This is the first poem ShaRi Brooks worked with for this series. Greeting Card features this quote: "Through the All forever we are soaring". [R-6] Athena
A passionate and haunting new offering from ShaRi Brooks, quotes a portion of Rick Allen’s poem "Athena", also from his Inconstant Bard CD. "How I hunger for your embrace/ Mysterious Other than what I am now/
You Man in the Moon Maiden of Eternity".

[R-7] Sleipnir
A new offering from ShaRi Brooks, available as a greeting card or an 8 x 10 poster. (This would also make a beautiful wedding invitation and ShaRi is available to discuss this option with you.) Quotes from Rick's love poem "Sleipnir". "Where Joy is Borne and Sorrow Shed" . . . "We'll find the Center of All Things/ Where Perfect Love and Trust are Wed."

Journey from the Keep of Bones Collection

[J-1] My Light
"There was a soft rose-colored glow about her, emanating from her skin. It stopped him in his walk, he stood among the junipers and stared into the glass, his mind repeating the phrase over and over, ‘My wife, my vehicle, my Light’." From Chapter 2, the channeler Light’s husband sees his wife in meditation. Also now available as an 8 x 10 poster.

[J-2] Love & Home
"I hope you get it!" Motorcycle Woman tells Maxine in a dream in Chapter 10. "The golden glowing guardians of this mountain place leading us to two simple things: Love and Home," Maxine’s lesson as she finds love in the mountains, Chapter 14.

[J-3] He & She
In Chapter 20, Maxine and Connor visit the channeler to find out about their past-life connection. "He, although outwardly the most cynical and guarded, is as open as a baby rose in the secret corner of a hidden garden wall. She, on the other hand, although wide-eyed and eager to hear all that Light has to tell her, is like a hot-house rose bud, nursed along with chemicals and unnatural light." [J-4] Meeting in the Center
Chapter 20, the channeler’s vision of the two reincarnated lovers. "These two sitting before Light today are like the cross marks in a giant X, meeting in the center."

LoveInSynk
[Q-1] Synchronized events brought this image together. The quote "Love is being together at the kitchen sink." is from Bob McCallum, contemplating remarrying later in life. ShaRi found this photae she had taken of some friends' wedding bowls in the sink and put the two ideas together. Wonderful card for anniversaries, weddings, Valentine's.
